1 Introduction

This document specifies the level to which Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 conform to the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). A client that implements IMAP is able to access and manipulate electronic mailboxes on an IMAP server in a way that is functionally equivalent to local folders. The Microsoft Exchange Server IMAP service component processes requests from an IMAP client.
