IInputMethod2::RegisterCallback (Compact 2013)

This method is implemented to receive a pointer to an IIMCallback2 interface. An input method (IM) uses the IIMCallback2 interface to send keystrokes to applications and to change the icons on the Input Panel button.

Syntax

HRESULT RegisterCallback( 
  IIMCallback* pIMCallback
);

Parameters

  • pIMCallback
    Pointer to an IIMCallback2 interface implemented in the software-based input panel (SIP). The IM can call methods on this interface to send information back to the SIP.

Return Value

Return S_OK to indicate success. Return the appropriate HRESULT value to indicate failure.

Remarks

The IIMCallback2 interface to the SIP is exposed only through this method. The SIP calls this method during the initialization of the IM, along with Select, GetInfo, and ReceiveSipInfo.
