The CE Update Check tool is used to determine whether updates are available for board support packages (BSPs) installed as part of the Platform Builder for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 installation on your development workstation. For more information, see CE Update Check Tool.

The following procedures assume that you have already performed a scan. For information, see Scanning for Updates using the CE Update Check Tool.

Saving Results from the CE Update Check Tool

  1. After the CE Update Check tool scan has completed, you can save the results as an XML file. To do this, from the File menu, select Save Log File.

Filtering Results from the CE Update Check Tool

  1. To filter out successful installations and display only installations with issues, from the View menu, select Hide Valid Updates.

Displaying Results from an Earlier Scan

  1. If you have a saved log file from an earlier scan, you can choose to view the results in that log file. To do this, from the File menu, select Open Log File.
