Domain Discovery (Compact 2013)

3/26/2014

Windows Embedded Compact supports a set of directory service functions which provide a way to locate a domain controller in a Windows domain.

Windows Embedded Compact supports looking up NetBios domain names only if the redir component is included as part of the OS. If redir is not included, only the domain names that are specified as fully qualified domain names can be queried.

Note

Windows Embedded Compact does not support caching of domain controller queries.

To add this feature to your OS, see Domain Discovery Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
