StartTime Element (Instruction Response) (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This element exists within the Package element, and specifies the time at which the package should be downloaded and executed.

Syntax

<StartTime
UTC="Whether the start time is UTC or not"
/>

Attributes

  • UTC
    This attribute specifies whether the start time is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), formerly called GMT.

Remarks

If the UTC attribute of this element is set to "true", the time given is in UTC. If "false", the time is interpreted as local client time.

Note

Once the client interprets the start time, it becomes absolute. For example, if the client changes time zones after receiving the package but before execution, the start time will not be updated to reflect the time zone change.
