Using the Catalog Editor to Open an Existing Catalog File (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

In Platform Builder for Windows Embedded CE 6.0, you can use the Catalog Editor to create a Catalog item (.pbpxml) file that has functionality that you want to add to the Catalog on your desktop computer. For example, if you have created a driver, you can create a Catalog item file to contain the XML metadata that enables you to add the driver to the Catalog for use in OS designs.

For information about the Catalog Editor, see Catalog Editor.

Using the Catalog Editor to Open an Existing Catalog Item File

  1. Create or open an OS design.

  2. From the File menu, select Open, and then select File.

The Open File dialog box appears.

  3. Navigate to the location of the Catalog item (.pbcxml) file that you want to open, select the file, and then click Open.

When you do this, the Catalog Editor window opens and displays the selected file.
