What's New in Server Core
Server Core is a minimal installation of Windows Server 2008 which requires you to complete the initial configuration from the command line.
Server Core does not include a complete user interface. When configured, Server Core can be managed locally and remotely by using a terminal server connection from a command line, as well as remotely, by using the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) or command line tools that support remote usage.
