{ border-left-width: sWidth }

sWidth

medium

Default.

thick

Greater than the default width.

thin

Less than the default width.

width

Floating-point number, followed by an absolute units designator (cm, mm, in, pt, or pc) or a relative units designator (em, ex, or px).

For more information about the supported length units, see Length units reference.

This property has a default value of medium. It is not inherited.

The following example uses the border-left-width property to specify the border width. This example uses a call to an embedded (global) style sheet to change the width of the bottom border to 1 centimeter when a mouse click occurs:

<head><style>
    td { border-left-width: 3mm; }
    .changeborder 1 { border-left-width: 1cm; }
</style>
</head>
<body>
<table border >
<tr>
    <td onclick="this.className='changeborder 1'" ondblclick="this.className=''">
        <img src="sphere.jpg">
    </td>
</tr>
</table>
