border-left-width

Sets the width of the border of the object.

Syntax

{ border-left-width: sWidth }

Possible values

sWidth

Variant that specifies one of the following values:

medium

Default.

thick

Greater than the default width.

thin

Less than the default width.

width

Floating-point number, followed by an absolute units designator (cm, mm, in, pt, or pc) or a relative units designator (em, ex, or px).

This property has a default value of medium. It is not inherited.

Examples

The following example uses the border-left-width property to specify the border width. This example uses a call to an embedded (global) style sheet to change the width of the bottom border to 1 centimeter when a mouse click occurs:
