Import Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator files
You can import Adobe Photoshop (.psd) and PDF-compatible Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files into your Microsoft Expression Design project.
You can import a Photoshop or Illustrator file into Expression Design in three different ways:

By using the Import commands.

By opening the PSD or AI file directly.

By dragging the file into Expression Design using Windows Explorer.
You can import Photoshop files as single layers, groups, or Photoshop layers.
To import a Photoshop file

On the File menu, click Import Adobe Photoshop File.

In the Import Adobe Photoshop File dialog box, locate the Photoshop file that you want to import, and click Open.
To import a Illustrator file

On the File menu, click Import Adobe Illustrator File.

In the Import Adobe Illustrator File dialog box, locate the Illustrator file that you want to import, and click Open.
To open a Photoshop or Illustrator file

On the File menu, click Open.

In the Open File dialog box, locate the PhotoShop or Illustrator file that you want, and then click Open.
To open a Photoshop or Illustrator file using Windows Explorer

In Windows Explorer, locate the Photoshop or Illustrator file that you want to open, and then drag the file onto the Expression Design artboard.
