This extension conforms to the initialization defined by LDAP,
as specified in [RFC4511]. In
addition, this extension specifies two operations that SHOULD be performed upon
connecting to an LDAP server:
Querying for supported controls. For more details, see section 3.1.3.1.
Querying for supported capabilities. For more details, see
section 3.1.3.2.
