ScrollBar.OnMouseWheel Method

Raises the MouseWheel event

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
protected override void OnMouseWheel(
	MouseEventArgs e
)

The ScrollBar control will convert mouse wheel movements to scrolling when the ScrollBar is in focus.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnMouseWheel method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnMouseWheel in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnMouseWheel method so that registered delegates receive the event.
