IVsLanguageInfo.GetLanguageName Method

Returns the name of the programming language.

Parameters

  • bstrName
    Type: System.String%

    [out] Returns a BSTR that contains the language name.

Return Value

Type: System.Int32
If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an error code.

Remarks

COM Signature

From textmgr.idl:

HRESULT IVsLanguageInfo::GetLanguageName(
   [out] BSTR *bstrName
);

Return the name of the language, such as "HTML" or "C++".

Note

The name returned from this method must be the same name used when registering the language service with Visual Studio.
