Gets a string identifying the solution version that the solution component was added in.

A string identifying the solution version that the solution component was added in.

Remarks

This identifies the major and minor versions of the solution that added this metadata item. For metadata that existed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 the value will be 5.0.0.0 and for metadata added with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 the value will be 6.0.0.0. If new metadata is added in updates or future releases the version number will be incremented to the corresponding version. For metadata added by custom solutions the version of the solution that the item was created it is used.
