Gets or sets the longitude.

Number

The longitude value is a range from -180.0 to 180.0. Setting the longitude outside of that range will throw an exception.

Because the Latitude and Longitude properties require explicit user opt-in consent on first use, only apps that require the location capability should use these. See Guidelines for devices that access personal data.

Per Windows 8.1 guidelines, when obtaining location, set desiredAccuracy=Default, and use a single-shot call pattern, such as a command pattern, to minimize power consumption.
