Team Foundation Server Requirements for Active Directory

You can install Visual Studio Team Foundation Server on more than one server if they are all joined to an Active Directory domain that is based on a functional level that Team Foundation Server supports. You can install Team Foundation Server on a single server that is joined to an Active Directory domain or that is a member of a workgroup.

You cannot install Team Foundation Server on servers that are joined to domains whose domain controllers are running Windows NT Server 4.0. The following table shows which functional levels for Active Directory domains Team Foundation Server supports.
