How to: Set an Image on an Action

The RoleTailored client includes images that you can use on actions in command bar menus and promoted actions on the Action Pane. The following figure illustrates examples of images on actions.

You add images to page actions with Action Designer. To add an image to an action, you must provide the name of the image. For a list of images and names, see Action Image Library.

To add an image on an action

  1. In the Classic client, on the Tools menu, click Object Designer.

  2. In Object Designer, click Page, select the page, and then click Design.

  3. In Page Designer, select a blank row.

    You can find a blank row at the bottom of Page Designer.

  4. On the View menu, click Actions.

  5. In Action Designer, select the action for which you want the image.

  6. On the View menu, click Properties.

  7. In the Properties window, in the Value field for the Image property, type the name of the image that is found in the action image library. For more information, see Action Image Library.

  8. If the action is promoted to the Action Pane and you want the image to display in PromotedIsBig mode, then set the PromotedIsBig property to Yes.
