SqlFunctions.DataLength Method (Nullable(Of DateTimeOffset))

Returns the number of bytes used to represent any expression.

Parameters

arg
Type: System.Nullable(Of DateTimeOffset)

The value to be examined for data length.

Return Value

Type: System.Nullable(Of Int32)
The number of bytes in the input value.

You cannot call this function directly. This function can only appear within a LINQ to Entities query.

This function is translated to a corresponding function in the database. For information about the corresponding SQL Server function, see DATALENGTH (Transact-SQL).
