DbExpressionBuilder.Constant Method (TypeUsage, Object)

Creates a new DbConstantExpression of the specified primitive type with the given constant value.

Parameters

constantType
Type: System.Data.Metadata.Edm.TypeUsage

The type of the constant value.

value
Type: System.Object

The constant value to represent.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbConstantExpression
A new DbConstantExpression with the given value and a result type of constantType.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type TypeUsage. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
