AjaxHelper<TModel> Class

Represents support for rendering HTML in AJAX scenarios within a strongly typed view.

Namespace:  System.Web.Mvc
Assembly:  System.Web.Mvc (in System.Web.Mvc.dll)

public class AjaxHelper<TModel> : AjaxHelper
where TModel : class

Type Parameters

TModel

The type of the model.

The AjaxHelper<TModel> class is a strongly typed subclass of the AjaxHelper class. The AjaxHelper class provides a set of helper methods whose purpose is to help you use ASP.NET AJAX in MVC applications to provide client-side functionality. The AjaxHelper class supports asynchronous partial-page updates without requiring a server-side update panel.

Extensions to the AjaxHelper class are located in the System.Web.Mvc.Ajax namespace. These extensions add helper methods for creating asynchronous forms and rendering links.

All helper methods and extensions are called using the Ajax property of the view, which is an instance of the AjaxHelper class. For example, to generate a link to a controller action method, you would call the Ajax.ActionLink method.
