TaskCompletionSource<TResult>.SetException Method (Exception)

Transitions the underlying Task<TResult> into the Faulted state.

Parameters

exception
Type: System.Exception

The exception to bind to this Task<TResult>.

ExceptionCondition
ObjectDisposedException

The Task was disposed.

ArgumentNullException

The exception argument is null.

InvalidOperationException

The underlying Task<TResult> is already in one of the three final states: RanToCompletion, Faulted, or Canceled.
