How to Create Page Groups

This topic describes how to create page groups. You use page groups to specify the pages on which your advertisements will appear on the Web site.

Note

Before you can target an advertisement to a page group, your site developer must add the required code to enable the advertisement to display on the page.

To create a page group

  1. To open Marketing Manager, click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Marketing Manager.

  2. In Marketing Manager, in the Views pane, click Reference Tables.

  3. In the Search Results pane, right-click Page Groups, and then click Edit.

  4. In the Reference Tables screen, in the Page Groups section, click Add, and then do the following:

    Tag

    Type the tag name for the page group.

    A tag is a parameter value that Commerce Server 2009 passes to a content request on a page that specifies how to format the document or a part of the document.

    Description

    Type a description for the new page group.

  5. Click OK.
