Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 include the following new programming elements for power management.
New Functions
- PowerClearRequest
Decrements the count of power requests of the specified type for a power request object.
- PowerCreateRequest
Creates a power request object.
- PowerSetRequest
Increments the count of power requests of the specified type for a power request object.
- SetWaitableTimerEx
Activates the specified waitable timer and provides context information for the timer.
New Structure
- REASON_CONTEXT
Contains information about a power request. This structure is used by the PowerCreateRequest and SetWaitableTimerEx functions.
