IMFPMediaItem::IsProtected method (mfplay.h)

Important Deprecated. This API may be removed from future releases of Windows. Applications should use the Media Session for playback.

Queries whether the media item contains protected content.

Note Currently IMFPMediaPlayer does not support playing protected content.

Syntax

HRESULT IsProtected(
  [out] BOOL *pfProtected
);

[out] pfProtected

Receives one of the following values.

Value	Meaning
TRUE	The media item contains protected content. Attempting to play this media item will cause a playback error.
FALSE	The media item does not contain protected content.

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
