3.3.1.1 Connection State Machine

The following state diagram specifies the state machine to be referred to when DFS-R establishes a connection. It introduces the following connection states.

  • Disconnected: A client is not connected. When transitioning to the Disconnected state from the Connected or Polling state, the client terminates all replicated folder sessions associated with this connection (see section 3.3.1.2).

  • Connected: A client has established a connection successfully.

  • Polling: A client has registered an asynchronous poll.
