iSCSI Ping Test (HBA)

Type: Manual Test

Overview

The iSCSI Ping (HBA) test verifies that iSCSI initiators (HBA) can send and receive ping requests.

Details

This test operates in two phases:

  • The first phase verifies that the HBA responds to ping requests by sending a ICMP echo packets to the HBA by using a network card in the test system.
  • The second phase verifies the HBA can send ICMP echo packets to another address, which in this case is the network card in the test system.
