Silverlight
Silverlight-based applications are cross-platform and run in most modern Web browsers. See System Requirements on the Silverlight installation page at Microsoft.com.
Poor compatibility
For wndows users there is MoonLight project (works great with Mono, but not Visual Studio), although many features don't work well, or don't work at all. It's a shame that Microsoft didn't manage to port Silverlight for Linux. It should be platform-independent, as Flash is :-(
