Cannot find the dependency '<file>' of '<assembly>' 

.NET Framework 2.0

The deployment project cannot be built because the dependent file for the referenced assembly cannot be found. The file may have been moved or deleted.

To correct this error

  • Replace the missing file. If the referenced assembly was installed by an application, you may need to reinstall the application. If the assembly is the output of your own project, you may need to rebuild the project.
