DispatcherExtensions.BeginInvoke Method (Dispatcher, Action)

Executes the specified delegate asynchronously with normal priority on the thread that the specified Dispatcher was created on.

	this Dispatcher dispatcher,
	Action action

Parameters

dispatcher
Type: System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher
The dispatcher that executes the delegate.
action
Type: System.Action
The delegate to execute, which takes no arguments and does not return a value.

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherOperation
An IAsyncResult object that represents the result of the BeginInvoke operation.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Dispatcher. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
