Datasources are BuddyScript tools to access external data. The external data retrieved can be accessed through many methods, including gateway calls, SQL queries, SOAP methods, datatables, etc. Datasources can take input parameters as modifier of the request. They can be compared to special types of functions specialized in accessing external data.
