About the Windows Essential Business Server SDK

The Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console enables a system administrator to monitor and manage data that is obtained from applications that are integrated into the operating system. As an organization grows, the number of software applications that are used also increases. The Windows Essential Business Server SDK gives you the tools and information to create application add-ins and security adapter add-ins that will enable a system administrator to manage even more applications and security issues. A system administrator can use add-ins to manage application and security data from additional sources in a familiar way.

Application add-ins can be accessed from sub-tabs under the Business Applications tab or the System Applications tab, and security adapter add-ins can be accessed from the Security tab in the Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console. To manage add-ins, use the Manage Add-in dialog box in the Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console.

The Windows Essential Business Server SDK includes the Windows Essential Business Server SDK Development Console, which enables the development and testing of add-ins without installing and configuring the complete Windows Essential Business Server operating system.
