You can convert an untyped provider to a typed provider. Right-click on the untyped provider you want to convert, point to Application Block Software Factory, and then click Convert Untyped Provider to Typed Provider. This adds the ProviderNameData file to the run-time project’s configuration folder. When you are first developing an application block you may want to include an untyped provider, which is simpler than a typed provider. Once you have completed the application block, you may then want to convert the untyped provider to a typed provider so that your users will have a better experience when they configure the application block.
