Working with code

Underneath the visual design features of Microsoft Expression Web is a robust code editor with several powerful coding tools that help you work directly in the code of your web pages and in other files.

These are some of the tools provided in Code view:

• Color coding   Displays your code in color.

• Compatibility checking   Lists code errors and incompatible code.

• IntelliSense   Speeds up your coding by making code suggestions appropriate to the section of code that you're editing.

• Code snippets   Help you reuse chunks of code or text in your pages.
