Status bar
The status bar displays information about your current editing modes, such as visual aids mode, style application mode, rendering mode, and page size mode. The status bar also displays information about the file you are editing, such as file size, HTML schema, and CSS schema.
The left side of the status bar displays context-sensitive information such as options available for a selected tag in Design view or Line and Column position in Code view.
Tip
You can move the pointer over an item in the status bar for more information or to change options.
To show or hide the status bar
On the Tools menu, click Application Options.
In the Application Options dialog box, on the General tab, under General, clear or select Show status bar.
