Deleting a brush stroke from the Stroke gallery does not affect any existing objects in your file that use that stroke.

Deleting strokes

To delete a brush stroke

On the Properties panel, in the Appearance category, in the Stroke gallery, select the brush stroke you want to delete.
At the bottom of the list, click the Stroke Options icon and then click Delete Stroke.
