Each time that you open a new document, the name of the file appears on a document tab at the top of the application window. These tabs appear in the order in which you opened the documents.

    • Click a document tab.

    • Press CTRL+TAB to move to the next document, or press CTRL+SHIFT+TAB to move to the previous document.

Microsoft Expression Design adds an asterisk next to the file name whenever you have made changes to a document that are not yet saved. When you save the file, the asterisk disappears.

To open a copy of a current document

  • On the View menu, click New View.

When you have multiple views of the same document, the document's title in the title bar and document tab is followed by a number. This number indicates the order in which you opened the window.
