Open saved job files
Expression Studio 3.0
A job file (.xej) is an XML description of all the settings in a job, in addition to a reference to the source media files. If you open a job file, the source media files must be in the location specified in the job file.
A job file differs from a saved profile in that a profile contains only saved settings, not a reference to an original file. Therefore, you can apply a saved profile to any media source in Microsoft Expression Encoder. A saved job file is self-contained, so you cannot apply it to another source.
You can also save job files from Expression Encoder. For more information, see Save job files.

You can't open job files saved from any earlier version of Expression Encoder. |
