Draw a shape

Expression Studio 2.0

  1. In the Toolbox, click either Rectangle Cc294544.81ffc148-cf5c-4faf-bd3f-f38d3073a12c(en-us,Expression.10).png, Ellipse Cc294544.8938cfdf-9b75-4a33-bc88-b0636e114a0d(en-us,Expression.10).png, or Line Cc294544.eb618397-5283-48be-8396-3449be7b6fbf(en-us,Expression.10).png.

  2. On the artboard, draw the rectangle, ellipse, or line by dragging from any point on the artboard to define the width and height of the rectangle or ellipse or the start and end points of the line. Notice that as you draw the shape, the width and height dimensions appear as shown below:

Holding SHIFT while dragging will create a square when drawing a rectangle, create a perfect circle when drawing an ellipse, or constrain a line to angles that are multiples of 15 degrees.

Holding ALT while dragging will draw the shape from the center rather than from the top-left corner.
