1 Introduction

The Microsoft Windows® Client-Server Communications Protocols include protocols that are implemented by Microsoft Windows® Server operating systems to interoperate or communicate with Windows clients (Microsoft Windows NT® 3.1 operating system, Microsoft Windows® 95 operating system, Microsoft Windows NT® Workstation operating system, Microsoft Windows® 98 operating system, Microsoft Windows® 2000 operating system, Microsoft Windows® Millennium Edition operating system, Windows® XP operating system, and Windows Vista® operating system).
