This sort order is being phased out in Spain but is still found in many indexes. There are two differences between the Traditional Sort and the Modern Sort. First, the letter combination ch is no longer considered a unique compression in the Modern Sort; it's considered as c followed by h, as in the Default Sort. Second, the ll compression is not considered a unique letter in the Modern Sort; it is considered as l followed by l.
