Component.DesignMode Property

Gets a value that indicates whether the Component is currently in design mode.

Namespace:  System.ComponentModel
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)

protected bool DesignMode { get; }

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the Component is in design mode; otherwise, false.

The design mode indicator is stored in the ISite; therefore, if the Component does not have an ISite associated with it, the value of this property is false.

Supported in: 4.5, 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0, 1.1, 1.0

.NET Framework Client Profile

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 8 Consumer Preview, Windows Server 8 Beta, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 SP2, Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
