StorageFolder.CreateFileQuery() | createFileQuery() method

Creates a query result object to filter and enumerate top-level files in the current folder.

Syntax


var storageFileQueryResult = storageFolder.createFileQuery();

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: StorageFileQueryResult

A query result object to filter and enumerate the top-level files in the current folder.

Remarks

This method creates a query result object identical to query result created by calling CreateFileQuery(CommonFileQuery) and specifying the CommonFileQuery.DefaultQuery enumeration value.

You can also get a top-level list of files in the current folder asynchronously by calling one of the GetFilesAsync methods.
