Microsoft Dynamics Mobile Integration Objects Overview

The following table explains the two sets of integration objects that are available with Microsoft Dynamics Mobile - Server Components and Microsoft Dynamics Mobile - Device Components.

Integration Objects Description

Microsoft Dynamics Mobile - Server Components integration objects

Enable the setup and processing of documents sent from mobile devices to Microsoft Dynamics AX. These integration objects provide the base integrating for all Microsoft Dynamics Mobile applications with Microsoft Dynamics AX¸ including Mobile Sales.

To get these integration objects, you must install Microsoft Dynamics Mobile - Server Components on your computer. For more information, see How to: Install Business Solution Integration Objects.

Mobile Sales integration objects

Extend the capability of Microsoft Dynamics AX to mobile devices, allowing users to place orders, create activities, search for customers, and more.

To get these integration objects, you must install Microsoft Dynamics Mobile - Device Components on your computer. For more information, see How to: Install Microsoft Dynamics Mobile - Device Components.

Each set of integration objects consists of the following files:

File type Description

.xpo

The tables, classes, and forms that add mobile functionality to Microsoft Dynamics AX.

.ald

Label files for localizing the text strings used by the tables and forms contained within the .xpo files.
