Overview

The Tuner-Audio Video Capture Test (TVWLPTest) verifies that both audio and video capture must occur on the same physical device, with tightly synchronized audio/video (A/V) elementary streams--less than 100ms phase skew (which determines audio and video synchronization, failure of which causes lip-synch issues); multiple small host capture buffers (a minimum of 64 buffers and a maximum of 32 KB per buffer); and low interrupt rates (less than 500 per second).

This test verifies the following requirement:

Title: Test Tuner Supports both Audio and Video Capture
Success: This test will succeed if all of the following steps are successful:
- Build a filter graph with the specified analog Tuner (the graph is not run)
- Locate the Capture filter that is associated with the Tuner.
- Locate at least one output pin on the Capture filter that supports MEDIATYPE_Video.
- Locate at least one output pin on the Capture filter that supports MEDIATYPE_Audio.
  Note The Video and Audio can be on the same pin.
Failure: This test will fail if any of the preceding steps fail.

Running Tuner-Audio Video Capture Test

To run this test, do the following:

Insert the tuner card into the machine or connect it through USB.
Run the three Run-First configuration jobs for Driver Test Manager (DTM).
Run the EHOME_BLOCK Gatherer.
Run the Tuner-Audio Video Capture Test job.
