The data management features include duplicate data detection, bulk delete, and data migration and import.

Use the duplicate detection feature to detect and handle duplicates during data entry and data maintenance activities.

Use the bulk delete feature to manage system storage consumption. You can delete data that is no longer needed, for example, stale data, old test data, or data incorrectly imported into the system.

Use the import and data migration features to upload data from various customer relationship management systems and data sources into Microsoft Dynamics CRM. You can import data into standard and customized attributes of most entity types that include custom entities.

Data Management Extensibility

You can develop custom data management tools by using both Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (on-premise). All features in data management are fully supported in both products.
