To get started with Microsoft® Silverlight™ Streaming by Windows Live™, you need to have a Windows Live ID and to create a Silverlight Streaming account on the Silverlight Streaming administration Web site. The following sections explain each step.
Your Windows Live ID account is used in provisioning your Silverlight Streaming account. If you do not have a Windows Live ID account, you can create it at http://login.live.com/.
Read the Terms of Use for Silverlight Streaming by Windows Live and the SDK License Agreement. Your usage of the Silverlight Streaming service implies that you have read them in full, understand them, and agree to them.
To create your Silverlight Streaming account, go to the Silverlight Streaming administration site and click the Get it free button. You must sign in with your Windows Live ID to proceed.
Creating an account maps your Windows Live ID to a Silverlight Streaming ID and authorization key that identify you as the unique owner of the Silverlight applications and associated media files uploaded to the server with this account. As the account owner, you are the only person authorized to manage those files on the server, and you control the end-to-end experience on your Web site whenever those files are played back using Silverlight.
If you already have a Silverlight Streaming account, you can retrieve the account credentials information from the server at any time. To see your credentials, go to the Manage Accounts page on the Silverlight Streaming administration site.
If you already have a free Silverlight Streaming account, you can regenerate your authorization key at any time. Go to the Manage Accounts page on the Silverlight Streaming administration site, and then click the Regenerate Account Key button.
