How to: Refresh the Team Project Data Cache (Team System Web Access)

Team System Web Access inactivity can cause your current HTTP session to time out depending on the value set for the Web connection time-out parameter. When the session times out, Team System Web Access may become slow or unresponsive, and you may not be able to browse. You may want to refresh the cache that contains your project data.

Required Permissions

To refresh Team System Web Access you must be a member of the Team Foundation Valid Users security group. If the necessary security permissions are set explicitly, you must have the View server-level information permission set to Allow and the View project-level information permission on all open team project set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To refresh the team project data cache

  • In Team System Web Access, in the upper-right corner of the page, click Settings, and then click Refresh Cache.

Team System Web Access is refreshed and enables you to continue to work.

    Note

The Settings menu appears on all main navigation pages in Team System Web Access.
