Beginning with Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2, Windows Embedded CE provides a new componentized flash driver that consists of a model device driver (MDD) and platform-dependent driver (PDD). Additionally, there is a new partition driver designed specifically for flash that replaces MSPART and the MBR format. For additional information on the new flash driver, reference the topics in this section.
