Data Migrated by Package B

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

The Business Intelligence Tools (BIT) in Speech Server are samples that illustrate how to build a data warehouse of large volumes of Speech Server data and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes for reporting on the data.

What Data Is Migrated?

BIT PackageB_DM migrates the session and task data that is used in the standard Speech Server reports and the BIT reports.

Note

Although some turn data is migrated, turn reports are not available in the BIT reports.

For each new Speech Server session that is found in the source database, if its start time falls into one of the partitions created by PackageB_DW or a subsequent procedure, the session data is added to that partition. If the partition is not present, no action is taken.

To examine or extend the mapping logic between the Speech Server schema and the data warehouse schema, open PackageB_DM.dtsx and view or edit the Microsoft SQL??Server Integration Services code that selects the source data and populates the target database.

Checks are placed in the migration code to ensure that if migrations are run multiple times with the same source and target databases, only the new data ??? in other words that data added since the previous migration ??? is migrated each time BIT Package B runs.
