DataContext.CreateMethodCallQuery<TResult> Method

Executes the table-valued database function associated with the specified CLR method.

Type Parameters

TResult

The type of the elements in the returned collection.

Parameters

instance
Type: System.Object

 The instance of the method invocation (the current object).

methodInfo
Type: System.Reflection.MethodInfo

Identifies the CLR method that corresponds to a database method.

parameters
Type: System.Object[]

The array of parameters to be passed to the command.

Return Value

Type: System.Linq.IQueryable<TResult>
A collection of resultant values returned by the database query.

The CreateMethodCallQuery<TResult> method is used in automatically generated code and acts as a proxy to database functions.
